Electrodiagnostics, which include Eletromyography (EMG) and Nerve Condition Velocity (NCV), are advanced testing used to help diagnose myopathies (diseases of the muscle) and neuropathies (diseases of the nerve).  EMG and NCV are used to localize affected muscles and nerves from which biopsy samples can be taken and then submitted for histopathology.
